Self-esteem is something that we each feel about our own self. Boosting confidence must come within, but external circumstances can make or break confidence in teens and young adults. Learning ways to boost confidence for teens and young adults is something many parents struggle with. As a parent, we want to see our child, even as a young adult, have a high level of self-esteem. We see the beauty in our teen and young adult, it’s a no-brainer that we desire for them to see their personality through our eyes. Today I’m going to share a few confidence boosting tips for teens and young adults. These tips will help you, as a parent, and your teen or young adult to feel confident again.
Make “I am” Notes
I personally love this simple way to boost confidence in young adults and teens. Have some sticky notes on hand and encourage your teen or young adult to write down positive affirmations. Things like, “I am amazing”, “I am awesome”, “I am a great writer”, and so forth. This will inspire them to think positive about who they are. Little “I am” notes left around the home in places that they’ll see them on a regular basis will help your teen and young adult learn to love who they are.
Get Active on a Daily
Physical activity can naturally boost confidence in teens and young adults. Start encouraging daily activity such as walking, jogging or using exercise equipment. A trip to the gym every morning would be ideal, as that helps boost confidence and muscle tone. When your teen or young adult remains active on a daily basis, they’ll start to exhibit confidence at a higher level within just a few days of being active. There are many exercises your teen or young adult can do at home, every morning for this to work.
Buy Some Clothes
There’s nothing like a shopping trip for new clothes that fit your teen or young adult properly. Something like a new pair of yoga pants or t-shirt that first your teen or young adult properly can boost their confidence in a huge way. I know that having the right bra is a good way for your girl teen or young adult girl to boost confidence. I’ve found that Knix has great comfy bras that work well to boost confidence while supporting your young adult or teen’s growing chest.
There are many little things you can do to help boost confidence for teens and young adults. While you may be worried about your child and the diminished confidence that often occurs during adolescence and young adulthood, it’s totally normal for your child to experience this confusion of self-esteem during this stage in life. Share these three tips with your teen and young adult today so that they start to feel more confident about the individual they are.
