Some of my fondest memories during childhood were made in Girls Scouts. My Girl Scouts meetings gave me the opportunity to spend quality time with some of my friends from school, work on projects together and learn valuable lessons that helped us all during our time in public school. My daughter met her best friend in Girl Scouts and it gave her the confidence and strength to face time away from home without being too shy or nervous. I admit, I’m the one that cried on her first day of kindergarten.

The positive experience of being in a pandemic is more quality time at home with your family, however that can cause a negative spin on children being prepared to face kindergarten outside the home.
